R&R serves individuals, couples, families, and caregivers navigating seasons of change. This includes preconception and family planning, pregnancy and postpartum wellness, whole-family and caregiver support, emotional fatigue and burnout, breastfeeding support, and general wellness or health-promoting lifestyle design. Care is always tailored, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Root & Rhythm primarily works with birthing individuals and adult family members rather than providing child-only therapy services. Sessions may include children as part of a family-centered consult, but care focuses on supporting caregivers with education, strategies, routines, and environmental modifications. If a child requires direct or ongoing pediatric therapy, appropriate referrals will be provided.

Sessions are collaborative, conversational, and grounded in your real life. Together, we explore routines, stress patterns, wellness habits, family rhythms, environments, goals, and the everyday challenges impacting your function and well-being. Sessions may include education, practical tools, reflective exercises, movement or activity-based practice, environmental recommendations, and actionable strategies you can apply in daily life.

Whenever possible, initial evaluations are recommended in your home environment to help provide a fuller picture of your routines, environment, and support needs. In-home evaluations are included within roughly 10 miles of the 91762 area. Travel fees for farther distances can be found on the Services page.

Sessions are primarily offered virtually through the HIPAA-compliant platform, Practice Better, for both evaluations and follow-up care. To better understand your environment virtually, you may be invited to share photos or videos securely through Practice Better to help guide recommendations and support between sessions.

Root & Rhythm is a private-pay practice. This allows for longer sessions, flexible care models, and services that go beyond what insurance typically covers.

Root & Rhythm is committed to sustainable, high-quality care while remaining mindful of access. A small number of reduced-fee or flexible options may be available depending on capacity. These are offered intentionally and are not guaranteed. If experiencing financial hardship, please feel free to share this during your inquiry so we can explore next steps together.

Root & Rhythm provides occupational therapy services rooted in evidence-based practice. While sessions may feel reflective or coaching-like at times, care is always delivered within the occupational therapy scope, focusing on function, participation, and daily life. This is not psychotherapy or medical treatment, and referrals are made when additional support is needed.

Individual sessions are the most flexible option. They allow you to move at your own pace and focus on the areas that feel most important in the moment. This option is ideal for clients who want ongoing support without committing to a structured program timeline.

The Rooted Reset is different. It is a more intentional, goal-oriented experience designed to help create meaningful change during a specific season of life. Over 12 consecutive weeks, we work together with consistency, accountability, and a clear direction in mind. Think of it as dedicated space to pause, recalibrate, build supportive systems, and actively move forward with guidance along the way.
